Andrés
Carmona Silva “Camarón
de Pitita” began
his professional career at the age of five, as presenter for
two years of “Un Mundo” for Spanish National Television.
At the age of 9 he performed in the festival of La Línea
de la Concepción with the collaboration of Fosforito
and Camarón de la Isla.
For
six years he was performing throughout Spain in collaboration
with such prestigious artists as Fosforito,
José Mercé, José de la Tomasa, Manzanita,
Pansequito, Juan Valderrama…
At
the age of 20 he collaborated in his first musical work with
Cristina Heeren and Juan Andrés Maya in Andalucía,
and as the star attraction alongside Fosforito and La Susi.
He has been the musical director for Juan
Andrés Maya, flamenco dancer.
He
has also participated as music director in works for the dancer
Rocío Molina, achieving a first
prize in Spanish Flamenco. He
has worked with Salomé Pavón (Caracol’s
grand daughter a member of the Pavón dynasty).
He
was first guitarist in “Troya” in which Rafael
Amargo and Ángela Molina collaborated.
Most
recently he has worked with Guadiana, José Antonio
Ramos, Miguel Poveda, Marina Heredia, La Macanita.
He
is currently preparing his first recording in which many flamenco
artists will collaborate.
