Curro
was born in the town of Marchena in the province of Seville.
He grew up here in the flamenco neighbourhood of Plaza de
Arriba, alongside excellent artists such as Melchor de Marchena.
He
completed his studies in solfa and flute in the Malaga and
Granada conservatories. Curro is a self-made flamenco, he
has collaborated with artists such as Gualberto,
El Güito, Manolete, El chino, Enrique de Melchor, Serranito,
Ángel Rubio, La Big Band del Foro, etc.
His
versatility has led him to experiment with other styles of
music and he is a memebr of the National Jazz Orchestra and
the Big Band de Jazz.
He
has collaborated in many recordings, of which his solo recordings
such as Flamenco Vivo and Pasar el Tiempo are outstanding.
Currently
he alternates performances of his show “Pasar el Tiempo”
with teaching activities
