Francisco
David Pino Illanes, David Pino,
was born in Puente Genil (Cordoba) in 1972 and when he was
five years old his family moved to Cordoba where he currently
resides.
He
was awarded First Prizes in the
Torres Macarena Flamenco Club of Seville, the National Festival
of Flamenco Songs in Lo Ferro (Murcia), the III National Competition
of Flamenco Songs “Ubeda, 1º de Mayo”, the
Flamenco Songs Competition “Sol de Oro” in Lorca
(Murcia) and the XVI National Song Competition by Serranas
in Prado del Rey (Cadiz).
He
was a finalist in the Youth Singers Competition in Bienal,
Seville in 1998 and the Olivo Prize (from the Flamenco Magazine
El Olivo) in the category of Novel Artist which is awarded
by popular vote to him along with Paco de Lucia, Enrique Morente
and Joaquín Grilo. The trophy “Young
Flamenco of the Year” of R.N.E in Cordoba. Honorable
Mention in the National Competition of Flamenco Arts of Cordoba
in the Group Enrique El Mellizo. Prize
of Tonas, Seguirillas and Soleares in the XLII International
Song Festival of the Minas de La Union (Murcia) in the year
2003.
He
has taken part in numerous festivals throughout the Spanish
geography.
Outside
of our frontiers, he has given recitals in several cities
in Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
Gold Insignia from the Flamenco Club Luis de Cordoba of Posadas
and Flamenco Club Fosforito of Puente-Genil.
He
has taken part in television programs such as Lo que yo te
cante, Noche Flamenca (What I Sang to You Night of Flamenco)
and Una Llama Viva (A Live Flame), as well as other programs
relating to the Devotional Song.
He has given classes during summer school at the University
of Cordoba, Autonomous University of Madrid, University of
Malaga, International University of Andalusia at Antonio Machado
de Baeza and various conferences on different subjects and
cultural weeks.
He has given classes in Teaching Flamenco to professors in
the CEP of Cordoba.
Courses
on Song Accompaniment at the XI International Festival International
of the Guitar in Cordoba, Flamenco Cultural Center Manuel
Moreno in Zurich (Switzerland) and Upper Conservatory of Music
Rafael Orozco in Cordoba. He is a regular guest professor
in the Rotterdams Conservatorium (Holland) for intensive courses
of Song Accompaniment.
He
has presented papers at the XVIII National Convention of Flamenco
Activities in Badajoz, XXIII Convention of Flamenco Art Santa
Coloma of Gramennet (Barcelona) and XXVI Convention of Flamenco
Art in Lucena.
He
has the title of Elemental Level of Flamenco Guitar from the
Upper Conservatory of Music in Cordoba and he has a diploma
in Teaching in the specialty of Musical Education.
He is part of the staff of the Upper Conservatory of Music
Rafael Orozco in Cordoba, where he gives classes of Song Accompaniment.
