Diego Álvarez "El negro"
Percussionist "Cajón"

Diego Álvarez “El negro”, was born in Caracas, Venezuela and began his musical studies with the juvenile orchestra movements such as “Simón Bolívar”. Coincidentally he studied Afro-venezuelan percussion in the popular culture workshops of the “Fundación Bigott”.

He is the founder of the Pasión Flamenca company and musical director and teacher at the school of superior flamenco studies in Caracas, directed by Daniela Tugues.

He has lived in Spain for the past 5 years, working with such artists as:
